Egham Bowls Club was founded in 1922 by a few local business men who fancied playing bowls and socialising in a friendly environment.
This continued until 1985 when the old club house was replaced with a much larger new club house with indoor bowling facilities and a modern and spacious bar with comfortable indoor and outdoor seating as well as varied catering and soft drinks.
There are many qualified coaches and equipment to allow anyone to give it a try. All ages and abilities are able to play bowls on our outdoor green and enjoy the camaraderie.
All levels of bowlers are accommodated from absolute beginners to England Internationals with social games, league matches and competitive matches for men, ladies and mixed teams.
There are also many club competitions and external competitions, with Egham having won every Surrey Competition with men, ladies and mixed teams. The Ladies have also been successful at National Level winning several England Titles.
Of particular note is the thriving junior section where several members have been selected for the Bowls England Academy, where hopefully they will progress into full Internationals.
